Entry qualification

Undergraduate diploma (or higher) Previous education: A professional bachelor’s degree in Technical Translation, or second-level higher professional education in Technical Translation. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations in English along with verified copies of the original. All education documents not originally in English must be accompanied by official translations which you can receive directly from your school, or you may get a notary-approved translation.

Language requirements

English If you are a non-native English speaker and your previous education was not conducted in English, you must submit one of the following internationally recognised English proficiency certificates: IELTS (5.5 or above); TOEFL iBT (72 or above)*; TOEFL paper-based (532 or above); TOEIC (780 or above); Cambridge English Language Assessment (B2 first); Pearson PTE (59 or above); Duolingo (100 or above). Overview

The master study programme consolidates and expands students’ experience, knowledge and skills in field-specific technical translation. The concept of the study programme differs from similar translation study programmes in the humanities. It has an additional emphasis on applied linguistics and covers activities which concern specific practical applications. Not only linguists, but also specialists in corresponding fields of technology as well as law, participate in the implementation of the study programme.
