Latvia visa and residence permit state duty fees

Students planning to study in Latvia from countries requiring a visa and/or residence permit should note that state duty fees will change starting January 1, 2025. To ensure a smooth application process to RTU, make sure to stay informed about immigration requirements specific to your country, including processing times and associated fees.

The fees for processing the documents required for a long-term visa are as follows:

• 90 EUR (Bachelor, Master, PhD)
• 180 EUR (Bachelor, Master, PhD) – for the examination of an application submitted less than three working days before the expiry of the period of lawful residence in the Republic of Latvia.

Fees for examination of documents submitted for residence permit are as follows:
First-time applications:
• 30-day revision: 160 EUR (Bachelor, Master, PhD)
• 10-day revision: 280 EUR (Bachelor, Master, PhD)
• 5-day revision: 560 EUR (Bachelor, Master, PhD)

Residence permit renewals:
• 30-day revision: 75 EUR (Bachelor, Master, PhD)
• 10-day revision: 140 EUR (Bachelor, Master, PhD)
• 5-day revision: 290 EUR (Bachelor, Master, PhD)

RP revision invitation number request fee:
• 27 EUR
